Why when women post a question about male social issues. Men who are against feminism-in the ground that they say it just concentrates in women, don't answer???
Here are some interesting questions (just from yesterday, as there were other questions in the past too):

And why IF you do, you respond in a nasty way.
So it seems the anti-feminists just want to stay unhappy in here?
Honest question, as this is a recurrent patterns that makes me curious
p.s. Before anyone says I am a "blocker", I just have four people blocked, with good reasons. Therefore that term doesn't apply to me

Being anti something doesn't necessarily mean that you have an interest in something positive. I think it's incorrect to assume that if you are anti-feminist that you are somehow pro-understanding men's issues. Wanting to explore men's issues requires some willingness to delve into your own self and to look at yourself in the context of both men and women in some kind of open manner. Being anti something doesn't necessarily require a lot of self-reflection. Being anti-something also allows you to go to that comfortable space of dogmatism. If you are anti-feminist and feel strongly about it, then you are probably going to use your time and energy to get out the anti-feminist message. I suspect that from the anti-feminist perspective, looking at "men's issues" is just a waste of time.

Yes, I identify as a feminist. I see feminism as the idea that the genders are of equal value and importance, even if they're not exactly alike, and respect for people's individual rights and desires apart from their gender. I prefer traditional names with history behind them because I think they sound classier and more intelligent and they grow up better, that typically means masculine names for boys and feminine names for girls. I think masculine names on girls are anti-feminist, because the people who like these names usually don't also like feminine names on boys. It's like they're saying it's cool for everyone to have a masculine name, both boys and girls, because masculinity is awesome, but that femininity, while it might be good enough for those puny girls, isn't good enough for boys. If they truly believed that naming a boy Eleanor was just as good and right as naming a girl Elliot, then even if I didn't agree I could at least respect their consistency and consider them pro-feminist or neutral.

I'm not answering the question directly sorry...but I'd like to point out to some men that there is a refuge for battered male partners in Cardiff. As a feminist I'm sorry this is necessary because there is never an excuse for violence in a relationship.
And, it is a difficult problem because if a man is assaulted by a women and believe me we can do damage...30 yrs of martial arts in my case...it is not taken seriously and is either seen as funny or the man concerned is considered a wimp. He will probably not get support from other men and most likely be ridiculed. So I suspect it is one of those nasty hidden problems.
Violence and emotional abuse are just wrong.

You're probably right, but I believe I have the justification. Most men who would even keep an eye on a forum like this are interested in understanding women in general and maybe pointing out that there's a huge inequity in certain areas.....with women getting the benefit. The men on this forum might not care about much else, with regards to gender.

Hi Flyinghorse :)
I've asked a few questions to reach out to the men here, some respond nicely, others not so nicely, but I'm a very patient person. I just try to ignore the bad if I can, and usually when I do that, I get better responses and guys open up to me more. It's been a very valuable learning experience and hopefully with my reaching out and making the effort to understand, they try to understand women as well. If we all help each other, there's much more to be gained for both genders. :)
Peace.
Edit: Shingo has got a point....
Do men really want understanding or do they just want to fight and gripe about things? Well, I'm here for people, but if you wish to fight, then I'll just have to wait until all the steam is blown off.

Flying Horse, did it ever occur to you that perhaps many of us anti-feminist equalists never even saw the questions? Thousands of questions are posted on YahooAnswers every day. I've never seen any of those questions until you provided the links. It's late now, but I will probably respond to them later.

If one is anti-feminist, then one believes that women should not be liberated and that men are perfect in dominating - so why consider male social issues at all?

I guess the anti-feminist males here feel it would be too wussy of them to give real answers about men's issues. That would require a level of sensitivity they are unwilling to get in touch with. So instead, they come here and attack anyone who might actually listen to them. They're afraid that if they give real answers, and are shown real respect, they will have to acknowledge they have little reason to hate ALL feminists. So instead, they fearfully embrace their indiscriminate hatred to protect themselves from the need to think beyond themselves.
