Like all the bins, they have been removed because of the potential for hiding bombs etc.

They (the machines )where fighting a losing battle against vandalism .They have a bad image problem vending mac hines in public places they seem to attract a lot of kicking banging and worse people who think machines are piggy banks so reluctantly they threw in the towel .It wasn't that long ago people could buy anything on the streets in vending machines milk cigarettes chewing gum chocolate .A sign of the times we live in .

Hang on... I am absolutely certain that there is one on the northbound Northern line platform at London Bridge cos I used to use it as a marker to locate exactly where the door would be when the train arrived.....

...it was there in Spring of this year and now I am curious I will look for it next time I am there....

Either so they cant be used to hide bombs in or cos we're all too fat and this is due to munching chocolate on the way to work! The whole worlds gone mad!

no doubt the authorities are concerned about them being filled with high explosives by terrorists :(
