been wanting so many things when I was younger, looking back, I realize I was almost there but I made a decision that created chain reaction resulting to not realizing my dream.
but that doesn't mean i can never be happy. I got over it without much effort. I remember somebody told me happiness is by choice. well, I chose to be

No, not really. And, I've had a LOT to get over throughout my life.

Desparately wanting something is the EGO's way of controlling you. It's controlling your life--you aren't. Recognize that, and recognize that there are many things in this world you're NOT going to have. There are many people in this world who are NOT going to be your partner. It's HOW YOU DEAL WITH IT that really matters.

So, deal with it, acknowledge the lesson, and move on with your life. There's still a LOT of living to do, and getting hung up on something or someone is not helping you achieve what your end goal is.

yeah you do! but it's only a temporary emotion, because it usually causes you to do something about it to change your life for the better, or to pursue a goal. if it's a person, it would usually cause you to go out there and get that person or at least try.

I must have been, when I was young and so vulnerable, so idealistic and wishful. As we learn about life, we begin to calibrate our goals and how we are doing. And change plans when we think the goals we have set are not achievable.
