Due to the progress of the information technology and internet, the enterprises are using computers to improve the work flow and efficiency. This research takes Carrefour company as the research object, interviewing and discussion with the persons of this company, to explore the function, key factors, characteristic and system benefit for enterprise to implement enterprise resources planning. In addition, the bottleneck and the success factors of the enterprise resources planning are discussed . Furthermore we discovered 10 main problems on Carrefour, and we gave suggestions to the company for improvement. Finally from the results of this research on Carrefour , some suggestions can be proposed for the enterprise considering to introduce the resources planning.

Automation of routine tasks by computers allows a company to reduce it's head count. Identifying which tasks can be automated successfully requires careful investigation of the existing systems. Often such investigation reveals problems with the existing systems. Taking Carrefour as an example, 10 main problems were identified that would need to be addressed before implementing any ERP system.
