I assume you meant to write "although they are bald". Men don't wear wigs because wigs are for women. Men wear toupees, and there are many men who wear them. If it is a good quality one, no one can tell they are wearing them. Many men are confident in their own masculinity and don't need artificial things, like toupees, to make them feel good about themselves. It doesn't have anything to do with homophobia, it is more a matter of how comfortable a man is in his own body.

Men do not wear wigs in this country because honestly, this is a homophobic country. Wigs are associated with women, and balding men are afraid that they may look effeminate, or even look like a Gay or a drag queen. Men fear anything related to being gay..even the hint if it will send them running in the opposite direction. Men would rather look bald than chance looking good with a wig because they are afraid of someone thinking they may be gay by wearing wigs.

Men generally don't use wigs in this country because the general feeling is that it's better to be comfortable with being bald than to fake it with a wig. Especially considering the considerable embarrassment that generally comes when people find out someone wears a wig.
