I'd be thankful that i have a chance to prepare myself not to get emotionally attached about accepting the truth and saying goodbyes! ! In my research & experience, your last thoughts has a lot to do once it's over and done with the transition! This is particularly true to those who die sudden deaths! I have also notice that people act instinctively and know that the time is near and do things they must do...
As a general rule, souls hover near their bodies for 3 days until the cord link to the body and soul breaks, and gives them the freedom to move more freely to finish unfinished business and decide to go or not on the 40th day! Those who have earthly attachments gets to stay as earthbound souls!
WE STILL HAVE FREEWILL ONCE DEAD!
Sounds more like a movie but true!
I pity suicide cases because their sad thoughts and feelings lingers on...

I hope I'm not laying there while I starve to death or have no water so that eating and parching my thirst would probably be first on my mind or wishing that I could climb out of my deathbed and beat the people to death that let me lay there and die so slowly.
If I'm comfortable and lucid, I'd probably be wishing to be 15 again.

Hopefully, I'll have received a Brompton's Cocktail; and I won't be thinking about too much. In any case, I will request one. I figure it will be my last cocktail. I read somewhere they don't give those anymore, however, I'll ask for one anyway and even bring the "recipe" with me to the hospital - if not a BC, then I hope I'll get some other good stuff.

Having been at a death bead or six or seven, the thing that comes to most people's mind is how do I get out of this bed. That is normally followed by a feeling of calm and a desire to sleep. I don't see myself being different.

The usual. Did I do that right will my loved ones know how much I really cared. What will they remember and what will I regret. Crap like that and hope that there really is more then permanent slumber after death. Maybe that I can haunt my mother in law till she gets put away.

To me honey, it will be my family members and my companion that I'll be worried about though. I will want my family members to carry on leading a happy life and as for my companion, though it's never easy to let her go, I'll want her to carry on with her life and to find a partner that can give her a happy family though.
It's sad though, but this is part of life.

Well, I have this theory. I am 45 and honestly cannot imagine myself living another 20 years. (I see my 84 year old parents struggle and it's horrible.) Hypothetically, if I DID live to be as old as my parents, I would be thinking, "It's about TIME."
