someone in the past did this, just moved e few feet on her driveway, and next day would not start, she was told it was the immobiliser. please help. if it is how do you rectify this.

Is the starter motor turning the engine over? If so then try this as modern electronic engine systems can be "confused" by short runs such as yours.

Put the accelerator down to the floor and then try turning the engine over. If the engine starts to cough (as though it is trying to start) then keep on turning it over until the engine fires properly and runs.

It worked for me once when I had to call out the AA.

Probably the exhaust gas sensor is confused by excess fuel from an aborted run. Continued cranking with an open throttle may clear it. It's not good to start a cold engine and run it for just a few seconds. Really you need it to run for at least a minute to clear the excess start-up fuel

It's likely to be the immobiliser. If it were an americano car, it would be a mechanical or electrical fault, for sure.

Fouled plugs.Only moving the vehicle a short distance means you stopped it while it wasin excess fuel mode for starting a cold engine.Remove the plugs and either burn them clean on a gas cooker or replace them

it could be check it and all check the spark plug and your battery cord too.
