I think people get very tired of everything being treated as a big joke. It can be exasperating to see people giving flippant answers when someone really wants to find information or is seeking help. I've had emails sent, thanking me for taking questions seriously.

I like to give goofy answers IF the question calls for a silly response. But, too many people have been acting as if every question deserves one of their LOL answers, which usually do not elicit anything like humor.

Look at the sitcoms we're given. Those and the awful reality shows take up a lot of room, so maybe people have a bit of a chip on the shoulder when they come here, or perhaps it's been a rough day or night. Or, maybe some people have a really weird or nasty sense of humor that others don't appreciate.

Remember: A sense of humor can vary widely.

There are some stuff that i do no longer understand: a million. what's the coffee ruin on Yahoo! solutions? that incredibly annoys me while i prefer to view a query however the coffee ruin stops me. 2. basically like "Alexander" being kicked out, why do they try this? What are the factors that could desire to be satisfied to kick somebody out (such that when you click on their profile, it says "the counsel which you're in seek of isn't attainable). That baffles me. 3. The spelling checker interior the internet site once you're asking a query. That checker purely assessments one's spelling on the call area, yet no longer the physique area. it relatively is slightly humorous to be laughed at. 4. This one relatively amazes me: how can one get greater advantageous than one hundred% superb answer? (like pole's a hundred and ten% superb answer and Dr. Dumbfellow's 104% superb answer) 5. some sturdy questions are deleted. i don't be attentive to if it replaced into the asker who deleted it, or somebody stated it. 6. Thumbs-up or thumbs-down with none reason given. some troll might supply each and every person a thumb-down, yet i might like to work out a clarification for that. additionally, as somebody until now stated, i might like to work out who gave those thumbs-up and thumbs-down. 7. The score that one provides to an answer could be everlasting. regardless of the incontrovertible fact that, there is one thank you to alter the score: in case you by possibility supply somebody a thumb-down once you certainly meant to grant him/her a thumb-up, click on "checklist it" yet do no longer deliver it, and then click on the decrease back button -- the score is erased and you would be able to click on the "thumb-up" button.

Maybe you're just not funny. Okay, I'm totally kidding!

I think some people just can't recognize what a joke is. It's really sad. I would hate to be deprived of my sense of humor. I may not be a GOOD sense of humor, but it's a sense of humor nonetheless.

What just kills me is there are those who
hang out here in P & S (Psychosis & Satire)
and have ZERO humor...

It would be like samesaid buying tickets
into a John Cleese standup.

What's the point if they're gonna go into
their whole, "I don't get it" routine.

Enough Irony to start a board. I'm steamed!

Everyone has a different sense of humor. Just as differnt as their sense of smell. Some people would rather smell puppies than babies. What you may think of as a brilliant flash of witt and charm someone else may find offensive and vice versa. It all depends on the indv. taste. But for the most part people do need to lighten up a bit.

If people say something rude to you it's either because you have said something to offend them, or they are just being a troll.

If you tell offensive jokes, then you ain't doing it right.

There are funny comedians and then there are people who stand up on stage and tell the whole audience that they are fat, stinky losers.

I love some offensive comedians such as Andrew Dice Clay and Denis Leary because they are actually funny! Are you?

Cheers

They sat on a stick as a child...and the stick got lodged in very well and deep. Too deep for the doctors to remove. As we all know, people with sticks up their butts have no sense of humor. Next time you see a stick on a park bench, do someone a favor and throw it away.

A lot of the users take this site as it is, a question & answer forum. They don't like humor of any kind. My idea is: serious questions, serious answers, then have fun with those that have humor.
