What do people think the best course of action is for this, and how long should it be left before doing anything about it?
Your input will be much appreciated!
Cheers!

See the doctor and NOW... It will get infected, then you will require more extensive surgery. I had an ingrown nail approx 4 years ago, i left it about 6 months without any help, i endded up needing time off work, antibiotics, and surgery with more time off work to rectify it. A doctor in your area will be able to advise you who to see and when to do it.... Unless you have a podiatrist handy, they are very good at what they do, generally they provide assistance within i few days.
