I want to get XFX 8600 GT video card for my Acer to do some gaming. My power supply is only 250w.I know I need at least 350w to run the card.I figured 400w will do.I would like to know what brand of power supply would be good to use and a good place to get it.I only want to spend enough to make this low budget gamer work.I only play one game bf2 ,I was wanting to get more games in the future. Can anyone help me choose a fair low budget power supply?I hear this is a good card to use on vista and will raise it over a 5.Im at 2 now.lol

8600GT draws less than 50 watts mainly on the +12V rail of the power supply. It will run stable on a power supply with at least 18 amps on the +12V rail.

Your problem will be if the power supply currently is a propriety supply or universal. Some of the branded pcs are propriety, so you can only get them from the manufacturer. I would check with www.antec.com to see if you can get one to fit. And newegg.com is a cheap place to pick one up if possible. Hope this helps.

jo, so your pictures card is integrated. meaning your mainboard is rather doing all the artwork. you are able to upload a sparkling one via only plugging it in, that could desire to be no undertaking. your mainboard has one PCI-show x16 slot (decrease left corner of the mainboard, the only that is, while in comparison with all others, a splash greater to the incredible). There your can plug any recent pictures card. AND ure precise, you will neen a sparkling capacity grant, yours isnt reliable adequate. decide for no less than 350Watts. Cant supply you any sites, I stay in Vienna... gz
