I'm 14 and I am planning to talk to my teacher about how I was sexually abused, but I'm not really sure if it was technically sexual abuse. Is threatening to take someones clothes off and spank them sexual abuse?

Okay, so it was sexual harassment. Is that legal or can people be put in jail?

Yes that is definitely sexual harassment, and NO sexual harassment is Definitely NOT legal. I would assume that what you decribed would qualify as Verbal Sexual Abuse. So the short answer is yes. Talk to your teacher. Good luck to you.

It would depend on the situation. It's more likely an attempt at humiliation. It would really depend on the details and who did it. If the situation was intimate then maybe something else.

OK I've read your other messages and what happened. It sounds like you had an encounter with a dirty old man who was trying to flirt /seduce you. He didn't actually do anything did he? He only threatened in a suggestive fashion right? If he touched you it was sexually abuse. and probably the suggestiveness of it was harassment as well. This is a learning experience for you and now you know not to be alone with men as they will try to prey on you because of your age. They know girls will get confused, embarrassed etc. I remember being followed along the street by a car full of men calling out and whistling when I was young and I was terrified. This is the type of thing that happens and why parents need to educate and protect their children. This is also the type of thing that you should have mentioned to your parents as it was inappropriate behaviour from this man. Don't let this incident worry you for ever I know it was scary but nothing actually happened. You will get over it when you understand it better.

You are a minor. Talk to an adult you can trust. Tell him/her what happened. Then, let him/her decide whether or not abuse, harassment, or both have occurred.
It is very important for you to let real adults in your environment know what happened or what may be happening. They will know what to do and will protect you to keep this sort of thing from happening again.
Don't make the decision yourself and don't let anyone in an internet forum like this one tell you whether or not you were abused. You must learn to trust real people rather than look for that kind of advice from anonymous message posters.
This is not a good place for minors to get help with real problems. Please talk to someone!
Good luck,
Al Mintaka

We are not in a court of law, what I mean by that is that abuse is what you feel. I think that you feel you were abused(and I think I might agree) so you need to deal with it and talk about it as abuse. What is most important here is you and your health and your mind. If the law becomes involved they make the choice based on their book whether its abuse or harrasement but for you its one in the same and makes no difference what its called. Talk to your teacher let others make the decision what to call it. For you it was abuse

A threat is harassment. Doing the spanking is abuse

It's sexual harrasment. And make sure after you tell the teacher to stay far away from that person and always walk with a really strong friend home or whenever you plan to be a lone, walk with a really strong friend

If he actually tried to do what he said, then it is sexual abuse.
If he just said it and nothing else, that is sexual harrasment.
Im not sure but I think it is illegal in every state.
If your scared, just get a restraining order against him and I'd reccommend you carry pepperspray if he ever tries to carry out what he said.
Or just kick him in his nuts, that would teach him a lesson.
Best of luck to you

Well as long as the "taking your clothes off" or any unnecessary touching did not happen there is no abuse yet. although you should be alert and smart at all times.
tell your mom about it.
record it if needed.
check also if your over reacting.
