Why are American blacks so different (physically and culturally) from their brothers back in Africa?

Africans have their own ethnicities and tend to marry within their own ethnicities. African-Americans on the otherhand are descendants of the random African slaves who were taken from all different African ethnicities, who over the centuries intermarried to form the African-American ethnicity. As such, the many customs and rituals from those slaves were mixed together over the centuries to form modern African-American culture. The cultures of the Africans, however didn't change as much as the African-American culture had, so that explains how distinct African-Americans are from Africans.

It's not only because of rape. Everyone always has to take the extreme approach. In Louisiana, many many creoles came over from Jamaica and Haiti during the 1800's and still do today. These people have a much lighter complexion than African blacks. And if anyone has eyes they can see that many people are involved in interracial relationships nowadays which of course will bring about lighter offspring.

Not Africans in Africa look the same either. East Africans look different from West Africans, South Africans and Northern Africans look different. No one looks the same in Africa either.
