McCanns: fresh Madeleine search near lake ?

We read that 'New searches for Madeleine McCann are to be carried out by Portuguese police around the holiday resort where the child was last seen, it has been reported.

Land and a lake within a large radius of the Ocean Club Holiday resort in Praia da Luz - where the youngster vanished on May 3 - are to be examined.

The areas to be covered include the coast between Praia da Luz and the village of Burgau, land between the Ocean Club and the beach, and the forests and isolated villas around the Bravura dam in Odiaxere, according to newspaper reports.

The land was searched early on in the investigation but it is believed searches there were not extensive.

Paulo Rebelo, one of Portugal's most senior detectives and the new head of the investigation, is thought to have ordered the move'

Does it now look Paulo Rebelo is getting whatever resources he needs from the top to solve this case. It surely cannot be long before Kate and Gerry see the inside of a prison cell ?

BUMP BUMP.

I along with many other people believe firmly the McCanns are child killers.
Not only that they are Liars and Con artists. They have put themselves in the public eye to market Madeleine to make a million.

I will criticise them as is my right. So you can drop your threatening language you pilliock and SHUTFUUP

So to answer the question, no not long at all before the McCanns see the inside of a cell.
Today when the final damning DNA evidence is released hopefully.

Kate and Gerry McCann will be forced to tell the truth, something they have consistantly failed to do from the start.
One of the Tapas 9 will crack then the whole tatty tawdry story will come out.

I'll tell you why I personally have suspected them from the start....
They are Liars.
Now if my daughter was missing and I was innocent, but under suspicion I would be VERY careful that everything I said and did was I open to the closest scrutiny.
I would answer all police questions without the need to resort to a laywer. THATS what innocent people do.
I would not tell even the smallest of white lies.
In my life I am not a liar anyway...I try never to tell lies..its hard and I dont always suceed, but I do try.

Now, just one example, the McCanns said "We have been assured by the authorities that what we did fell well within the bounds of responsible parenting"

This is a lie. Pure simple. No excuses. They lied.
They lied about this and many many other things.

I was always going to give them the benefit of any doubt, but it is a fact of life, when you are shown, proven to be a liar even with the smallest of things then you loose peoples trust.

Now when you look at the McCanns story there is not one tiny bit of evidence to support it whereas all the available evidence, the DNA, the dogs the body language, the behaviour the intercepted phone calls and e-mails, all of it leads the Police to be "100% certain that Madeleine died in the apartment."

Now considering the McCanns are liars...Why. why oh why do people still support them??

PLEASE do not repeat the Mantra Innocent until proven guilty.
They will be found guilty at a trial. In the meanime they put themselves in the public spotlight so now need bear the scrutiny..

There is so much speculation and I wonder just how much you read in the papers is actually true. We all know that when newspapers do not have much to report they tend to make things up and exaggerate things out of all proportion. I suspect that most of the stuff they print is fabrication or pure hearsay. How many times do you read "a source close to the family or the police". These sources are never named and the reason for it is that they do not exist. I cannot see anything being resolved until she is found whether dead or alive. I have absolutely no sympathy with the McCanns purely because they left three children alone while they went out enjoying themselves. I do not like the circus they have created and the lengths they have gone to. Why do they have top lawyers both here and in Portugal when they have not been charged? Why do they need an ex-government spokesman who presumably does not really know the McCanns nor has any idea what went on in Portugal? Is he being paid a vast amount just to keep on saying that any new speculation is rubbish and unfounded? Good job if you can get it! The whole crux of the matter is that the general public has no idea whether the McCanns are involved or not. We will have to wait and see. I fear that unless she is found there will be insufficient evidence to charge the McCanns.

Sadly I have never thought the child would be found alive and as time has gone by this seems more unlikely. People are anxious as to why the search for a living Madeleine doesn't seem to be happening, but I feel the police have their reasons and had their suspicions right from the beginning. I always thought the McCanns were unnatural and hiding something to say the least but as time has gone on and I have had to listen to their endless cry of 'their innocence', their sick lies and use of anyone and anything they can, to defend themselves, I will be astounded if it was proved they were not involved! I think they are vile sinister people and know exactly what they are doing and they scream 'guilty' to me.

I hope it won't be long before they see the inside of a prison cell but I fear it won't happen because these people have the devil on their side. I just hope that the truth will out in this awful case and that justice will be done for the child they so easily forgot about... Madeleine....

I have NO doubts that Paulo Rebelo wants to do everything in his power to resolve this case swiftly....however your point with regards to Kate and Gerry McCann seeing the insides of a prison cell soon i don't think will happen regardless of what evidence maybe found...as the McCann Team including Clarence Mitchell & Co will always always spout that they would never receive a fair trial after the Media Frenzy...so i wouldn't hold your breath for any kind of charges!
I must say though..the McCann Team have been very clever in the way they have courted the International Media....knowing full well that this would do them more good than harm in the long run !

We already know she didn't search. We already know that within days she had the "strength" to go jogging, sunbathe, get her highlights done, go clothes shopping in Lagos, dump the twins in the creche while she and her husband went to Fatima ( to do a photo-op, a 10 hour round-trip), then more clothes shopping then jetting off to Madrid, Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome and Marrakesh. We know the couple had the "strength" to instruct lawyers in the UK and start an internet blog within a few days of the disappearance but not the "strength" to take care of their remaining children. You are just stating the obvious - the McCanns are lousy parents. But why do we obsess about these lousy parents in particular? The McCanns deserve no more scrutiny than other parents who neglect and/or abuse their children. Why are we not talking about all the other rotten parents out there in the world, and there are plenty?

Although being searched the police state there is nothing in particular to link the lake with Madeline's disapperance, I think a case of no stone should be left unturned. Can't understand why you are always to judgemental. If the police were as sure as you the McCann's would be seeing the inside of the prison cell you refer to NOW!

I just think that when the Mcs challenged the PJ to find the body a few weeks ago they knew that they never would find Maddy because either she is not in the area or they have done something more "permanent" with the body.
If the Mcs have played a part in getting rid of the body then it disgusts me. How could anyone be so vile as to "dispose" of their own baby like a piece of rubbish .It just doesn't bear thinking about. But deep down I think they did.

It seems odd that this area was not subjected to a detailed search right at the beginning (if indeed this inference is correct). However, your logic in your last comment, as usual is flawed.

If Madeleine is dead and was dumped in the lake then they will, presumably find her. They would, of course, need evidence to link that fact to whoever put her there before charges could reasonable be brought against anyone, whether her parents or anyone else.

Your implication is odious and without foundation.

I hope you are right but I think that all this extensive searching etc is a smokescreen and that nothing will be revealed that could definitivly link the McCanns to Madeleines disappearance as there is going to be a high level "cover up". My reasons for thinlking this are that this case is being called "politically sensitive" WHY??? Surely it is a criminal case that has nothing to do with politics. It wasn't political when Murat was called an arguido. There is much more to this case than meets the eye. I hope I am wrong but I have the feeling that the new DNA results and searches will be "inconclusive"

Hi Dave,it's actually more serious than I thought this obsession of yours.I agree with veritas you are all those other identities and you even go to the trouble of inventing lives for them,girlfriends,ex wives(numerous),trips away and meetings.
I have come to the conclusion that you are probably more to be pitied than scolded.If you take each identities questions and answers they run in to thousands I bet.You've clearly lost the run of yourself.Get help.
