don't you think that yet again the Portugese police seem frighteningly inept, it is 5 months since she disappeared and only now they are going to search the lake. In this country police divers would have been down there long ago.

In this country police divers wouldn't have been down there long ago - the reservoir is 2.5 miles across (or something in that region) and it is a distance away from the McCanns apartment.

They would only have searched it on specific information recieved, which is exactly what is happening now.

A police investigation is a process carried out of a period of time which chops and changes depending on information - You've been watching too much TV.

You mean like our bumbling police force, who weeks later (despite having the killer on CCTV and several witnesses) have still not found the killer of Rhys Jones?

Or what about poor Jean Charles de Menezes, innocent guy just going to work - gets more than he bargained for in the shape of 7 bullets in the head.

Yes - our exemplary police force are a great comparison.

The police have been too busy pointing the finger at the parents to do any "real" investigating, and when they are this incompetent, it's time to start looking for a replacement! If I were on the force, I would've done MUCH better. At least Mr. Rebelo seems to be doing a better job - he may find her.

accept as true with TGibby and exceedingly adequate I accept as true with Scarey Mary.. a minimum of persist with them in the event that they flow away. This a the international of technologies. There are in simple terms some human beings in this international who don't have a cellular telephone. i could flow as much as somebody else and say hey doent that look like Madeleine McCann am i able to apply your cellto call the police. I even have puzzled a great number of circumstances precisely in simple terms what you wrote.

But the Police have suspects and evidence against these suspects and they are fine tuning their case so the way I see it is that the Police are doing their job despite all the spin and obstuction from the Parents

She is not in there. They are wasting time.

She has been abducted and moved about amongst Paedo's / Child traffikers.

She is still alive somewhere, lonely, frightened, unhappy, maybe physically unwell & desperate for her mummy & daddy to come and get her.

NO PROOF SHE IS DEAD. STILL MISSING. NEEDS SAVING.

It;s called clutching at straws, and i would have thought that would be an area that would have been covered, long before now, but it would appear that they want to pin it on the parents so much that many avenues were left untouched.

I guess the police can fumble evidence & investigations of crimes everywhere. They certainly do here in the US!

i think that because they are so determined to blame the parents that thy left a lot of things uninvestigated hence why they are doing it all now. its obviously very different ti the way things are done in other countries
