As your name suggest you are Hindu Indian. The provisions of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 applies to you which clearly provide that the minimum age of the bride/girl should be 18 years & the groom/boy should be 21 years. Even if you want to marry your girl friend by civil form of marriage before the Marriage officer/registrar under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 the same condition with regard to age applies. So you have to wait for one more year if you want to get married in India according to any of the above mentioned form of marriage. The condition of age is strictly followed now (after few cases where wrong age was mentioned for getting married & the cases ultimately landed in the courts challenging such marriages) in both the cases & proof of age is required for the same.

You do raise a rather interesting point. The legal definition of a marriage, as accepted in most of the United States is a union between a man and a woman. The laws vary as to what constitutes a union, a man and a woman. Most states have laws restricting the definition in some way. This could be age or relationship between the couple (brother and sister couldn't marry, for example) or other factors. A marriage could be legal without ever being consummated (the couple having sexual relations) as long as that is agreed upon by the couple. Again, laws vary. Some states now accept same sex marriages. That's another issue. Nobody that I am aware of anywhere has ever defined a marriage as being between a human of either gender and a non-human, whether an animal or an inanimate device such as a computer. So, I would say HAL and Daisey are SOL.

Sanju most of the repies you will get is form nort American people, where it is perfectly legal.
By your name I guess you are from India or PAkistan, there it might not be legal. Check out the age of maturity of your country. I believe it is 21 for guys and 18 for girls. But check out again. Good luck!

If you are both over 18, you can legally marry without your parents permission, unless you live in certain countries where the marrying age is higher. (I think I saw some post here that said India has a 20 yr age, not sure.)

You are legally allowed to get married at the age of 18. You can marry before the age of 18, but you have to have the written consent of your parents.
Being that you are 20 years old, you can do as you please! If you want to get married, then get married, nobody can stop you!
Cheers :-)
