Well, this is a good question and I will try to answer it in the best way I can. I live alone. Sometimes I get lonely. But sometimes, I'm really thankful because I can do whatever I want as long as I am not disturbing anyone else (watching tv, listening to music, being on this dang thing, playing with my cat, etc.) I just got out of a 3 year relationship (have been on my own for a year) and I'm still a little bitter. But I live closer to my elderly parents and am happy to help them out (shopping, chores, etc.) I think the term *being happy* is a relative one. Being happy for you might be something entirely different for someone else. As well as experiencing lonliness. I guess that's the best answer I can give at the moment.

Is there a difference?

I don't think so...
I think some people find great happiness in being lonely...
I do at times...

Sometimes the world is just too loud for me...
To chaotic...
To messy...

A little lonely can afford me much peace...
Within...
And with others...

Well honey, happy people tends to be more into activities and thus, making new friends. As for lonely people, they tend to be reserved or pessimistic, thinking that no one will wanna be their friends. To me, one will not be able to overcome any problems unless one tries.

Cheers and have a nice week ahead ;)

Are all lonely peoples unhappy?..that's the implication of your question... And what is happiness..you can feel very lonely in the middle of a mass of peoples....the more important question in this context is: Are they "happy" with themselves...
