I was thinking of a 3-4-5 triangle which led me to a 6-8-10 triangle:

6² + 8² = 10²
36 + 64 = 100

I defy anyone to find a smaller 3 digit square. :-)

10^2 = 6^2 + 8^2
100 = 36 + 64
