6)Dr. J & Moses Malone: When anyone can utter
"Fo', fo', fo'," and win an NBA championship sweeping Magic and Kareem 4-0 u got my pick!

5)Shaquille & Kobe: Having along Shaq along doesn’t hurt when u can take 3 different teams to the NBA Finals (Orlando,L.A., Heat) Lakers 3-peated from 2000-02

4)Bird,McHale, & Parish: led the Celtics back to the glorly days, winning 3 NBA Championships

3)Magic & Kareem: Won 5 NBA Championships in the '80s reached the Finals 8 x in 10 seasons.

2)Jordan & Pippen: Dominated the '90s Chicago "3-peated" 2 x during the decade

1)Russell and Cousy: Well this should say it all. The Celtics dynasty of the '50s and '60s Stopped West, The Big "O", and Chamberlain from winning a pair of titles.

Honarable Mentions:Stockton and Malone: The whole thing about a duo is to at least win 1 (I know it's harsh)

Lew Alcindor and Robertson :Only if the pair could of paired up earlier it would of been a modern Magic and______

Thomas and Dumars

I dont really remember Dr. J and Moses being much of duo ah but what the hell . . . .

The Celtic frontcourt trio and Magic, Kareem and Worthy ARE NOT duos.

You cant pair Bill Russell or anyone of the Celtic players as being dynamic duos. Those Celtic teams dont rely on two players to carry the team. Heck, Russ won 5 with Cousy, Russ won 5 with Havlicek and the 3 of them won one championship together. Not to mention the 6 and up rings that Russ won with Satch, Heinsohn, KC, Sam etc. The closest thing that the 60's Celtics has to a dynamic duo is Bill Russell and Coach/General manager Red Auerbach.

My list would be something like this:
1. Jordan and Pippen (with apologies to Rodman and Grant)
2. West and baylor
3. Stockton and Malone
4. Shaq and Kobe
5. Oscar and Alcindor (with apologies to Dandridge)
6. Wes Unseld and Earl Monroe

I agree with My Kill with his list, my list is a little different though:

1. Jordan and Pippen: No question they needed each other to win the damn championship! They carried each other.
2. Malone and Stockton: How many times have you heard Stockton to Malone from yelping commentators?
3. Magic and Kareem: Hell yeah only Laker duo to win against the Celtic pride.
4. West and Baylor: Although not fruitful they were one of the best tandem in history.
5. Shaq and Kobe: Who could stop this two when they worked together they were unbeatable they became vulnerable only when they ceased to co-exist.
6. Hakeem and Drexler: Although relatively short this is one tandem that was really needed enroute to a back-to-back title finish for Houston.

I agree with all of the above

Tim Duncan and David Robinson was pretty good team for the short period of time...I think they's be up there too had Duncan came along earlier
Hakeem the Dream and Drexler looked good together also...but they were at there end when they finally brought one home...Again had that team been put together earlier.
Shaq and Penny had it going on too...but that ended rough...Think about if they had just one more season together after being swept out of the finals...I still think the team would have did better the next year.

Thomas and Dumars original"THE BAD BOYS" you have to put them up their...That was a squad the microwave, laimbeer, rodman...Didnt they win two or three together.

i have to agree with the majority of everyones comments. i deffinately think you have to give props to jordan and pippen (i know its a little too ovious but u gotta pick them) and of course stockton and malone played better together than anyone in history despite the lack of a ring. And yes of course timmy and robinson were the twin towers for a few years- unstoppable. i think some of the older duos get too much credit. of course guys like russell and wilt dominated but they had no competition. i gotta put kobe and shaq on the list. and alson magic and kareem. guys like nash and nowitzki played beautifully together too. im not really listing these in any particular order- im just naming some of the duos that stand out to me

i think i will go with the jordan and pippen duo of course... they won championships together, they play better with each other.. they made eacch other better by playing good basketball...

my second vote is stockton and malone... there would be no malone if there is no stockton... and likewise there is no stockton without malone... they became great player because of the other... they are inseperatable... hahaha bad thing they did not won a ring... but i still consider them the second duo behind MJ and Pippen.

Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, and no person else comes close. MJ is the main suitable of all time, and Pippen is up there additionally, they mixed for 6 rings at the same time, they the two mandatory one yet another and performed great at the same time. BQ- soccer is my in demand game, basketball 2d.
