My bath tub drain keeps cloging and draining slow. I use the cheap drain cleaner about once a month. If I wanted to buy a good drain cleaner for the tub what would i use?

I've only lived here for 2 years and I've never done anymore than poured drain cleaner into the drain.

As opposed as I am to adding more Toxins to our already messed up eco system I have a suggestion. If your plumbing is at all accessible; somewhere in the drain line 2" or 4" there should be cleanout plugs.

Usually just a threaded cap/insert at a junction allowing removal even with a crescent wrench. From there a snake both ways to determine the cause of what might be causing the tub back up.

With all due respect to any here; I want to believe there is some awareness that NOT everything touted as a "Miracle" is in fact a miracle. Advertising sells products to the brain; not always capable of doing what is stated.

In over twenty years on the job, we've always used "Liquid Plumber" in the gray container, the commercial brand and, another suggestion. Get a tub and shower cover to collect your hair from showering in the tub and shower so it doesn't go down the drain. This is 99% of the plug ups in these drains.

Purchase these at Home Depot.

Liquid Plumber. Follow the directions very carefully. Also you might want to call Roto-Rooter or a similar place. Maybe the drain needs more than just the drain cleaner. When was the last time the drain pipe got reamed out?

wrap a wet rag around a garden hose end, jam it in the drain and hold it down hard, have someone turn the water on full blast, ya done.
