and using other excuses for kids and themselves such as "it is only natural" or "it is only human" or "mistakes happen" for lack of self control and negligible behavior?

do you think they give excuses like that for their children's irresponsible behavior and are ok with it if they do get into drugs, sex or alchol during their teenage years eventually?

is that why kids easily nowadays get into drugs, alcohol and sex (become skanks, sluts and man whores) at their early teens since they are not reprimanded when they are young and think they can get away with it ?

is this a pattern of parents screwin up themselves at their young age and just ok with it when their children do it instead of standing up and stopping it?

Parents need to learn that it is good to say NO! We are not here to be their buddies or friends, and saying no or making them accountable for their actions will not damage their psyches, it will make them better adults!
We are raising a generation of people that are used to someone else coming to their rescue or making excuses for their poor behavior! It will be a sad state of the union when they are in charge!

it's the collapse of the family value. I don't agree with the woman should be home cooking and cleaning and taking care of the kids, but I do agree with the fact that there should be 1 PARENT ( no nannies) at home staying with the kids. It's lack of parenting, parents now a days work too much and see their kids and spend time with their kids. If kids aren't getting the attention from parents they will get it from, drugs, sex, and violence.

It takes a lot of energy to parent. Where I live, both parents work long hours to afford ridiculously huge homes and they're exhausted.

In other areas, single parents are raising the children and those parents are exhausted also.
