I am going to Vegas for the first time. How do I get from the Excalibur hotel to the McCarran Int'l Airport? Is it better to take a taxi or a shuttle? How much will a taxi ride to the airport cost me? Is it cheaper to take a shuttle instead? And where do I go to get a taxi or shuttle ride? Thanks.

there is a chart showing the fare from McCarran to the various hotels.
>If you arrive during the day you can count on at least an hour wait in line for a taxi, on a busy Fri/Sat or during a special event that can easily stretch to over 2 hours. The only time there isn't a long wait is between Midnight and 6am.

"Bobby B" gave you the CAT bus which IMO is usually the best way to go, both in terms of time and cost. Though it will either cost you $2.50 or $3 the CAT bus no longer issues transfers they sell a 24hr pass for $2.50 and if you use the Deuce they charge you an extra .50c and issue you another 24hr pass.
>The #108 or #109 will stop about every 6 minutes. If you take the #108 or #109 North you will need to transfer to the #201 West Tropicana which will stop right across the street from Excalibur. You could also take the #109 South out to the SSTT then transfer to the Deuce, which will take you down LV Blvd S(strip) and stop across the street from Excalibur. >Either way will take you less than 1/2 hour from McCarran.
>You can ride the bus so long as you travel light(carry on luggage only)

Excalibur doesn't have their own shuttle service, but they can help you arrange for one.

They cost about $6.50, cabs are about $10 plus tip.

There are no shuttles running from LAS to Excalibur. The cheapest way I have found is to take CAT (Citizens Area Transit It should cost you $1.25 but there is a transfer involved. Check the transit map
