I do when it's a question I feel strongly about.

Not for that reason at all, but I do check back with some questions to see if there's an edit for more info pertaining to the question at hand and also to leave a comment of appreciation for 'Best Answer'. If the question is interesting enough, I like to see what others have thought and the different answers themselves. I must admit though, it's always nice to see a 'Thumbs Up' or two.

Yes I like to do that and I can usually predict when I'm going to get thumbs down, but sometimes I'm surprised. Only one time recently I did edit and protest a thumbs down because it was about my cat and just cats in general - and I couldn't see any reason for it except plain meanness!

I go back to read other peoples replies and to give them thumbs up or laugh at good funny responses. Often, if I get a thumbs down, it makes me smile because I know that someone with the opposite opinion was affected.

No. I usually answer the question and hope I've helped someone, but I rarely check back with the question unless I've received "best answer". I learned long ago that most people want answers they want to read and usually disregard the better answer. Sometimes a question is just a way to verify one's own self-worth.

I edit but not for thumbs up. My ambition is more than just an electronic thumb pointing upwards. 10 points if possible.

Usually I would answer a question as a first draft....that way My place is reserved. Then I 'flesh out' My answer with a few choice comments or opinions. Finally I 'beef it up' during a final 'proofing' stage. This way I get to see My 'report card' as I go along. Try it.

I answer questions to the best of my understanding (questions about computers, etc. are not answered since I have no knowledge) and forget everything. I do not go back for my answers to see what has happened. If my answer is chosen as the best answer, I get information direction from Yahoo.

I do, but I usually ask them to guess what I'm holding up in response to their thumbs down, especially if it's likely to be a con-servative artist that gave it to me.
