is it a good idea for a couple, going to seperate colleges, to be involved with such a relationship. We have been together for a year and we feel we may be able to do something like this, but not sure what the outcome could be. we go to seperate colleges, but they are less than an hour away and we still see eachother 3-4 days out of the week.

I say do what you think is best for both of you. Just be prepared for the possibility that one of you will find someone you prefer over the other.

But it's natural and you're young, so why not!

I personally don't believe in open relationships. Once it gets to the point where you are dating other people, you are dating other people, then having one another as friends with benefits for school breaks. Also, unless you are fully committed to one another while in a long distance relationship, there is NO chance of the relationship lasting. You will undoubtedly get bored with "the one who isn't around" and move on to someone new. If you don't feel you can handle a long distance, monogamous relationship, that is fine. Just be honest with one another about it, and maybe you can still be friends.

Having this kind of relationship takes a certain mindset. Generally, it is looked down on but what you do in your life (as long as it doesn't harm anyone) is your business.

I have some links that will help you research open relationships and come to an informed decision. Don't agree to anything until you have fully considered ALL the options.

Sounds like the real **** up to the relationship in the future. Sounds like there is not that much commitment despite the relatively close distance. Maybe you two should part ways to figure out what you both want separately.

It is what it is. meaning that the laws of attraction will either bring you two together or seperate you two. Love will prevail, sometimes it just seems like forever.

Probably not a good idea. What other "something" are you interested in doing? Is it just about sex?
