Like it's spelled as BOLE, with a long o. The W is silent.

I think I've been pronouncing it wrong all this time, after reading the answers so far. I've always pronounced the w. I say 'bow' as in 'bow tie' and put an 'ul' sound after it. So it sounds more like bowell. I've always said it like 'owl', just like one person said not to. Huh. Now we both know, I guess.

Like "scroll", but with a "b" instead of "scr". It isn't pronounced like "owl" with a "b" infront though.
