If you put diesel in a gas car then just go and fill your car with gas if you have room, if not you may need to remove some to *** more gas, Diesel is really not going to hurt a gas engine, it will make it run poor and smoke a bit but after you get it diluted with gas you don't have much to worry about.
The big problem is if you put gas in a diesel engine. Its ok to add a gallon of gas to 25 gallons of diesel but no any more then that. If you put straight gas in a diesel and start it as soon as all the diesel is gone from the tank the gas will make the engine rev really high and you wont be able to turn it off with the key, you will have to remove the breather cover and use a shirt or towel to smother the intake so it can't get any air.
This can cause extreme damage to a diesel engine.
IF this is what you have done, then get s syphon kit and drain the tank. then refill with diesel and then you should also purge the fuel line to by taking a line loose and putting pressure in the tank to empty the line.
IF you have put 85% ethanol or flex fuel in you gas car don't worry about it, just add as much gas as possible to mix with it.
You car will run fine it my get poor gas mileage but the only thing it will hurt is the rubber fuel lines, and as long as this is the only time it's not big deal.
I Thinkg i have covered them all, If i missed on let me know. or if you have any other questions.

depends on the car, and depends on the fuel
some combinations do damage, some are harmless

If your car uses Premium gas and you put regular in by mistake, you can buy a bottle of octane booster. Otherwise your valves might be knocking and doning some damage. Most new cars have knock sensors to prevent that, but still why take the risk? It'd be good if you put more detail in your Q.

According to your explanation, i can conclude that your car is only suppose to burn premium which indicates that your car needs more octane than most cars. I don't think it a great effect on the car but if you want you could put some octane booster in the gas. I hope this helps
