I played for 1 and 1/2 seasons for the Indianapolis Indians back in the 70s they were the Cincinnati Reds farm team back the I was a back up catcher. I was mainly a bull pen catcher, but I played in some 2nd games of double headers. I caught in games against Tulsa Oilers--Oklahoma City 89ers-Evansville Triplets to name a few on road swings.

My uncle played for the Atlanta Braves. He was a pitcher up until he was injured with a torn rotator cuff. MANY players he played with are in or have made it into the big leagues. Javier Lopez the catcher that recently went nowhere was his catcher throughout the minor leagues. He hurt himself while playing for the famous Durham Bulls.
