There are two ways you could work this out.
Either:
You could simplify both fractions before you do any multiplying.
That leaves you with 3 x 2 = ?
Much simpler, isn't it?
However, not all fraction questions are going to be that easy.
The longer way (works for all fractions):
Multiply the numerators together (that's the numbers on the top) to get your new numerator: 9 x 8 = 72
Multiply the denominators together (that's the numbers on the bottom!) to get your new denominator: 3 x 4 = 12
That leaves you with a new fraction: 72/12
Which simplifies to 6 ...the same answer as you get doing it the other way!

Multiply the numerators and then the denominators:

That would be 6. Solve the ones enclosed in the parenthesis first then proceed...
(9/3)X(8/4) = 6
3 X 2 = 6

its basically 9 thirds times 2 since 8 on 4 is 2 wholes. so the answer would be 18 on 3, which you reduce to 6.
answer: 6. 10 points for me right? :)
