I think you are right, with 3 competitors for the gaming market, it keeps the bar higher for games. This means more & higher quality games for us, which is a good thing. My only complaint is certain games I like become "exclusive" to certain consoles, and if you don't own that particular console, you never get to play it.

Do I think another company will start a new console in direct competition with the next-gen consoles? Probably not any time soon, but I'm sure eventually it will happen. Wouldn't it be funny if Atari made a comeback?
