While there is a video on the CBS website that says the new season of Jericho starts January 8, 2008, it's my understanding that Jericho is going to be a mid-season replacement. CBS doesn't know when exactly it will start, it depends on when it begins cancelling shows this fall. When the first hour long drama bites it, Jericho starts.

You may or may not know that the show had been cancelled after the end of the last season. Some serious fan support put that in contestation for a couple of months until the network finally caved and agreed to order up 13 episodes for the next season. A lot of production time was lost while all of that was going on so the next season, which should have started in September, will pick up possibly as a mid season replacement for any shows that just don't cut it at the end of 2007. If the fall lineup holds strong then Jericho will start fresh in 08'. It sucks that we'd have to wait that long but honestly I think it would be worth the wait if they take the time to make the next season as good as the first.

I miss that show!! I've heard rumors (from the show's own website and forums) that it won't return until January 2008, mid season. I hope it returns sooner than that though! I'd hate to see a perfectly good show go to waste. It has a great following (proven by the peanut attack on CBS). It's a shame they pulled it from airing. Let's hope that by the time it returns, the followers will still be loyal!

January it will be back for at least 8 episodes, then depending on rating maybe more. So watch the new shows when they start and tell all your friends.
