If you can prove to the Department of Immigration that she only married you for residency, then its possible they will deport her.
But that will have something to do with the length of your marriage (under a year and she's gone), and how long she actually lived with you.
Go to them with all the facts and see what they say. But you will still need to get an annulment or divorce, to be free, even if they do deport her.

i think you had aswered your own question about her using you, boy.but can i ask, had'nt you seen it coming before you decided to marry her??i mean, there could have been warning signs that it obvious to you no matter how hard she try to hide it.

depending on the laws in your state you can or can not have her deported, too bad though that as you say, people in your state thinks she'll win just because she's a woman & unfortunately too women had been empowered in the western world in ways that we from the 3rd world countries can't understand sometimes.(by the way im a filipino married to an australian for 3 years but just arrived here in queensland a year ago).i don't think it's fair for the law to favor women just because they are women.im not against my own gender,it's just that i do believe the law should treat both sexes fairly & try to see both sides of the coin 1st before passing out any judgment.

if you do believe you had been used & abused & had enough proof against her then try to lay your case in front of the judge & see where you two will go from there, though it will be wise too if you had a lawyer whom you can consult with regarding this matter.

Woowee!!!!!!! you sure got screwed! i really hope the US law is fairer than the one i have in NZ. I tents to agree that the court and women is pretty well glued. You have to be very careful, Very careful, if you want to do anything to deport or change her status. Do not, leak anything about your intention, Once she finds out, you are doom, financially and mentally, because once it ends up in court,( which i think it will ) everything will be gone, like mine. $400,000. So you have to be very careful. There are nasty people out there only too eager to take avantage of other's generousity. Check all the legal steps. Good luck to you. And i hope you will have better ending than mine.

No, it is not true. Call a divorce attorney, get clear on your rights and the law. Hitting is against the law. If she touches you again, call the police and press charges. She has no right. Talk to a lawyer and get protection. Good luck to you.

What country are you in? Assuming its US.

You may eventually want to see a divorce lawyer, but you should see an IMMIGRATION lawyer if you want to deport her or otherwise alter her status as a permanent resident, etc.

You didn't give much detail, but you should see immigration lawyer without your wife.

You need to get an attorney. Do it first thing in the morning!! Get a good one.

If not, then take her to court yourself and tell the judge exactly what you wrote here.

Divorce her. She needs to be married to you for at least three years in order to stay in the states. If less than that, back home she goes.

I agree with all of them and when you go to a lawyer, it is best that you keep it to yourself. Never let her know about your plans.
