Gerard got sober and Bert really didnt accept gerard's new life style so their friendship sort of faded away. im happy that Gerard isn't his friend anymore. Bert isn't a good role model.

i personally think its because My Chem started to go really high in the rock industry and The Used just stayed the same and Bert got p issed.
and if it was got to do with Gerard being sober then they would have stopped being friends in 2004 not the summer of 2005..

some say its cause of that cover song, 'under pressure' my chem and the used did.
others say its cause of drugs, gerard had no interest in being friends with bert once he was clean and sober
others say they were going out and broke up.
me? i personally think the most logical one is the second.
