never pour any grease down your drains you will cause eventually some major problems down the road. You need to pour this grease out. You can pour 1 gallon of vinegar along with baking soda and let set a few min. before trying to clean your lines. this combination creates boric acid.

No. The detergant will break down a greasy film on a pan, but it's not designed to breakdown a lot of grease. Your best bet is to wait until it cools and throw it into the trash. You never want to put any type of grease in a drain because it will build up and eventually cause the drain to back up.

the best way to dispose of any type of cooking grease down the drain with out causing problems is to turn the hot water on and let it run a few minutes before you start pouring the grease down. be sure to leave the hot water on while you pour the grease and then let it run a few minutes after. old wives trick taught to me by my grandma. i've been doing it that way for over 20 years and have never had a clogged drain.

That's why you never throw out a coffee can. Pour the grease in the can, wipe the pan out with paper towel and throw that in there too. When the can gets full, you have a ready made lidded container to put in the trash, that's not likely to leak because of the paper towels. Be sure to put a lid on the bottom of the can too, to catch any drips and to avoid rust on whatever you store the can on.

I would not attempt it. Instead take a coffee cup, either ceramic or glass and pour it in there, and let it cool to room temprature. The grease should solidify and you should be able to spoon the fat out of the cup and in to the trash.

NOT a good idea, the grease will cool in the trap and solidify......just let it cool and dump in the trash.
