She's a rich 17 year old girl who lived during the early twenieth century and she is supposed to marry this rich guy but she falls in love with a guy whose 30. There is more to the plot but I'm not going to say what it is. Anyway, i had few choices for names in mind so between these which one will be best for my character: Ophelia, Juliana, Amber, or Ellie.

Elizabeth sounds nice for a rich girl. Ophelia is good too. Yes Ophelia is nice.

Rich and beautiful as your character the girl should be definately be "Amber ".As precious as amber can be ,your centre character the girl is the precious element in your story or whatever you are doing , although you can match it with other answers if maybe somebody has better ides behind it.

Tara that is my real name, & at 20 I did fall in lovewith a 30 year old. Tara also has many meanings and history- Buddhist goddess, plantation in Gone with the Wind, Seat of Kings in Ireleand etc etc..

I use baby name books to select character names. Another good resource is "The Writer's Digest Character Naming Sourcebook" (Sherrilyn Kenyon).

As for the names you mentioned, I like Ellie.

From your four I'd say Ellie...make Eleanor her full name.

My Suggestion: Isabelle (Izzy for short).
