I've noticed for about 2 or 3weeks now that the tip of my thumb on the left side on my left hand tingles like when your foot falls asleep it does this all day long and it's getting on my nerves. When I touch something it feels numb and sometimes it sends a really weird feeling down my arm to my elbow. Does this sound like Carpal Tunnel? If not any suggestions on what it could be?

It could be the beginning of carpal tunnel or some other sort of nerve damage. My carpal tunnel problem started with sleeping fingers and grew to include my arm to the elbow. It would wake me up at night tingling and hurting. I finally had surgery when my thumb began to atrophy. If it's a nerve problem including your arm, sleeping with your hand in a wrist brace may help to keep you having the problem at night. You should really go see a doctor for a true diagnosis.

Sounds like it. You can get a brace for it at most drugstores. Get one that feels comfy and doesn't hold your wrist at an unnatural angle. Wear it at night for a couple of weeks and try not to do to much typing or other activities that move your wrist around alot. Carpal tunnel usually goes away on its own if you don't aggravate it. If it gets worse, see a doctor.

If you're left handed it could be carpel tunnel, or at least the beginning. To relieve it try stretching exercises by extending your fingers, rotating the wrist, bending the wrist forward and backward. All this is done deliberately and slowly, holding at the outermost position. If it helps than it probably is carpel tunnel.

i had a similar problem like your experencing, i went to the docs and he did some tests with his hand... pressing on certain parts of my hand so see how long it took for it to go numb.. after a awhile of tests he told me i had carpal tunnel and gave me a brace to wear only at night, and to keep my arm elevated. i also had to do a nerve conduction study to see how my nerves were working. i would check it out with your doc, but try proping ur arm up when you go to bed...

It could be the onset of it, but you can try exercises to relieve it.
Braces for your wrists will help, but i would go to the doctor if it worries or bothers you that much to really find out.
