There are two phones under my family plan so one phone, which is the main one would be canceled and the other would remain.

two phones. two contracts. if you break the commitment on either one. You will be eating the 175 ETF.

Unless the cancellation is due to death, moving to dead zone, or new BAN.

Sometimes you can catch a good customer care rep that will help you out.....

yes, i tried to cancel one last month and they asked me to pay them 200 dollars in fees

Absolutley not, i have done it and there was no charge at all with AT&T
