Hi everyone, I'm sorry to ask the community for help but Algebra is killing me and if someone could give me a hand with this one I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, I'm practicing and going to start doing tutoring because I really want to learn how to do this one my one. But need some help on the fly if someone would be so kind.

2b^2 + 7ab + 3a^2

Here, find two numbers such that their sum is 7 (coefficient of ab) and product is 6 (product of coefficients of b^2 and a^2).
Such numbers are 6 and 1. Now breakup the middle term 7ab as 6ab + ab and proceed as under.

2b^2 + 7ab + 3a^2
= 2b^2 + 6ab + ab + 3a^2
= 2b(b + 3a) + a(b + 3a)
= (b + 3a)(2b + a)
