i completely agree. any quarterback can make perfect passes if they have 5 minutes a play in the pocket.
but you still have to give brady some credit because he has proven that he himself is good.

Football is a team sport: solid offensive line + competent running backs = a good running game
solid offensive line + professional level quarterback + competent running backs = a good passing game
All Pro line + All Pro quarterback + 3 all pro receivers = New England's offense.
Don't forget Randall Gay, Rodney Harrison, Assante Samuel, Junior Seau, Tedy Bruschi, Roosevelt Colvin, and the rest of the defensive team to help shut down the other team's offense. Throw in a suffocating special team coverage unit and Stephen Gostkowski and you have a great special team. Put all of that under Bill Bellichick. Now you've got the New England Patriots. A solid team.

Rex Grossman had all day. . .
Isn't he riding the pine now BECAUSE HE SUCKS????
I think that there is more than time to pass to make someone great. If that is the case, then Brett Favre must be AWESOME - his line hardly ever give him time, and he can connect (it may be to another team, but he connects!).
It is true that people are as good as the people surrounding them, but Tom has to make them want to give him the time, so there must be something there. I'm not saying he's the greatest, but let's not knock the guy and state he's average just because he has a good line. I mean, he did QB at Michigan, which is a "football school", so he obviously has some sort of talent. . .
Besides - I would rather be lucky than good anyday. Lucky tends to be more often than good. . .

Whether it's offensive adjustments, defensive adjustments or half-time adjustments, nobody can do it better than the Patriots right now. Brady has all day to pass and the defense is playing well. I don't want to take anything away from Brady, but right now a frickin Monkey would do well in that system.

well obviously the lineman are the unsung heroes every sunday. but you can say the same about every QB. manning would suck without his line. the 9ers of the 80s and 90s always had great lines. every great team has great lines.
