Do you mean 2(7+3t)=-t?

14+6t=-t (multiply "stuff" in parenthesis by 2)
14=-7t (subtract 6t from both sides)
-2=t (divide both sides by -7)

Do you mean 2(7-3t) = -t?

(multiply)
2*7 - 2*3*t = -t
(simplify)
14 - 6*t = -t
(add 6t to both sides)
14 = 5t
divide both sides by 5
t = 14/5 = 2.8
