I am looking for an R2D2 costume for my son. All I can find online is a baby version. I did see a popup R2 on a photo (http://www.r2-d2.de/others/Bilderseiten/popup1.htm) but I can't track down the product.

Does anyone have an idea of how to either (a) make an R2D2 costume or (b) find one that is not make for an infant or (c) find that popup one linked above?

Help! Thanks!

When I first glanced at it I was trying to see how the "costume" was supposed to work. I thought okay,

1) The bottom is open so that kid can walk,
2) The main "sensor" is transparent plastic to the kid can see.
3) the top is sectional, so the kid can flip it back to reveal his face.
4) there's probably 2 straps on the inside that rest on the kid's shoulders so that the costume just hangs.

I spent 20 minutes trying to find the "costume" in the picture... the only thing that kept coming up for the most part was that baby in the T-shirt and cap.

So, I took another look at the "costume" in the link you gave. And I noticed handles on the sides of the head... Why would there be handles on the outside of the "costume"???? Then I took another look at the "sensor", I though it was transpartent plastic and that the inside of the "costume" was just black, but turns out the "sensor" is actually painted black (not transparent) which means the kid would not be able to see. Plus, there's no holes in the sides, where do the arms come out??? How's he supposed to hold his trick-or-treat bag???

That's when I noticed the little tag that appeared near the cursor when I dragged it over the second picture on the right. It said "Klick the popup for more surpirses"... so I did and busted up laughing after all that searching I did.

IT'S NOT A COSTUME!!!

IT'S A LAUNDRY BAG!!! (Doh!!!) =P

The bottom is solid, the handles are for carrying it to/from the washing machine when it gets full.

I suppose you could turn it into a costume. You just need to cut out the bottom (have your kid wear white shoes), cut holes in the sides for the arms (have your kid wear a white long sleeve shirt), cut out the large black "sensor" circle and sew in a sheet of plastic to make a viewing window, and then sew straps into the insides so that the costume will hang off his shoulders.

I found similar laundry bastkets on Ebay, but these appear to be made by a different manufacturer (Star Wars Logo along the bottom and head is blue not grey/silver), plus I don't know how big they are so I don't know if they can be made into a workable costume.

About mid-way down the list, item #31 (Blue R2) and #32 (Red R2) theres also another Blue R2, near the bottom, Item #44

You might want to browse around a bit more, maybe there's a store (Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc.) that may sell them locally.

I'm so sorry in your loss. It need to be a horrible feeling to lose a baby, I are not able to even start to assume the soreness you are feeling. I believe out of the ones 3, As I Lay Me Down is the great option. Ut is approximately loss of life, and being so near that loss of life is not any drawback. I would not endorse the opposite 2 despite the fact that. Other songs which might be well are: one million. One Sweet Day - Mariah Carey/Boyz two Men. two. You Raise Me Up - Westlife. three. Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton.
