Why is the NAACP for abortion rights when this is definitely a problem in the black community?

A good reason why the NAACP is losing its relevance in the black community. This organization I truly believe doesn't act in the best interest for us blacks. Abortion is a consequence of our loose morality that has to be addressed.

Too many young women are using abortions as a means of birth control. My sister works in the county's social services department and she is so saddened by the number of young teens that come in for their 4th or 5th abortions.

This madness has to stop!!!

In order to reverse the trend, there needs to be more men willing to take on the responsibility of the children they produce. Otherwise the women will think of abortion as a possibility because of the added burden of raising a child alone. I know this does not answer the question about the NAACP, for that I have no clue, unless they are just thinking about all the fatherless children being born. That and they are liberal and believe it is the right of the mother to abort their babies, and that this some how equals freedom and equal rights.

There are far too many people in the world......... and before you FREAK out, I said PEOPLE. Not BLACK PEOPLE.

The NAACP supports the right to abortion, because they recognize a woman's right to choose what to do with her body.

I love the fact that your stance is completely politically motivated. A woman should be forced to have a child she doesn't want, so you can build your voting base.

I dare you to stand outside an abortion clinic and say that to a woman. They'd have to scrape you off the sidewalk, retard.

Well that's a bit simplistic - the black population is growing, not shrinking.

Also, is it really better to have an unwanted child than an abortion? Statistics show a strong causal correlation between unwanted children and crime. This is the main reason for the steady drop in crime rates approximately sixteen years after abortion was legalised.

Note: I am making no statement about black people and crime - the same correlation is also present in other racial groups.
