They both are obviously very good.

Couple of things here that I need to point out real quick. 1999 was the first season that Harrison had more than 800 yards recieving or double digits in the TD category, wonder why that is. Mr. Manning is the reason. Harrison is a great reciever but living in Indy I have heard it all, Stokley would be a #1 or 2 reciever on any other team, and Pollard would be a top TE anywhere he went. What happened there? They were not exactly the greatest things after they left Indy were they. Harrison is a good reciever, if he sticks with Indy he will go down as the second greatest reciever of all time, but if he leaves he wont be putting up gaudy numbers or be mentioned anywhere near the top of the recievers. Manning and Harrison complete each other, and without Manning, Harrison is a #2 reciever, without Harrison though Manning is still one of the top 3 QBs to ever play the game.

If by "physical category" you mean- the media is constantly obsessed with them then you're right, Moss and TO are in a better category than Harrison. Harrison is constantly overlooked because he avoids the spotlight, he shuns the media, and doesn't have the hype but is bar none the sharpest route runner in the NFL. Not only that but his hands are incredible, he does have great speed and the smarts to use his abilities. He would be a thousand yard receiver for any team in the NFL...(well maybe not the Raiders).
But I think he is kind of a product of his surrounding cast, Peyton or not. Look at Moss last year: no QB= no results, in Minnesota with pre-shredded knee Daunte, and this year: good QB= had monster years and is looking to have a monster year. Same with any receiver, look at the drop off of Mohammed from Carolina to Chicago. What makes Marvin and Peyton great is that they have all the pieces, decent RBs, great O-line and TEs, good #2 and #3 receivers. They are all great because of each other, but individually they would be successful no matter where they went if they had a decent surrounding cast.

While a receiver may lack sprinter speed or basketball hight, sometimes great hands, accurate route running, and the ability to get open are more important for a great career. Harrison is a good candidate for this description. Of course having an accurate QB doesn't hurt, but even with another quality wideout running on the other side, Harrison's numbers are still very impressive throughout his career.

Harrison and Wayne would be good but ordinary receivers without Manning. Just like Favre created Freeman and Driver (although Harrison and Wayne are better than them). Manning would be great on any team, unlike Tom Brady who is a system QB. I don't know if Peyton is better than his ol' man though. I don't think some of these kids realize what a QB Archie was!

Both. Marvin Harrison was a great wide receiver at Syracuse and holds most of their receiving records. Their success stems from consistency. They've played together for so long in the same offensive system.

I think that it is an equal partnership there. One would have to find out if Harrison could do what he does for Manning with any other QB in, and Manning would also have to show he could put up the same numbers with any other receiver.
Chemistry is a wonderful thing, isn't it? It can make the average appear stellar!

They definitely benefitted each other. I think Peyton would still be an elite QB w/o Marvin and Marvin would still be a very good WR with a little less stats.

i give you a star because that is a great question...the best way i can answer this is that both make eachother great...they are a dynamic combo...aikman & irvin...young & rice, bradshaw & swann......they were meant to play together because they connect on a level of play that is so hard to cover, its like they know what each other are thinking....they will go down in the book as one of the greatest qb/wr duo's of all time, that is for sure
