Under what circumstances would you consider it OK to report someone or give a thumbs down.

For the rude, I would give a thumbs down.
For those who are full of hate and spew it out, I would definitely report them.

I have never reported any of the regulars or even new people on seniors but I have reported foul language and racist remarks. There is no reason for this type of thing any where on here. I have given thumbs down when I thought someone was being insulting or hurtful to the person asking the question. I have given many thumbs up and stars if I can remember to go back to the question when I am finished answering.

I have reported some outrageous racial questions and the more blantant hate mongers on other sites.I have never found it necessary to report anyone on Seniors,we tend to work out our difficulties. Thumbs down for an opinion seems foolish to me,but I'm free with the thumbs up!

I'm inclined to agree with the previous posts. I have not reported anyone on this site and I have rarely reported anyone on other sites. Porn, extreme hate, extreme racial slurs.. I will report. Don't see to much of that lately though. As for thumbs down.... hateful responses. I haven't done that in quite a while either though.

It would have to be when some really obnoxious person answers in the most sick way and making terrible racist comments, and the ultimate to me is when they actually put,you should be dead, or similar...this makes me shudder, and sickens me to the core that they have no regard whatsoever for anyone, I have to say I have come across such a person, not on here, and I have no shame in having reported him, he is one scary individual, I don't give thumbs down to anyone just for the reason that I don't agree with them, we all see things diferently, but I do give thumbs down for blatent rudeness

no longer a real senior, we don't! Our mothers taught us sturdy manners transforming into up. So all of us be attentive to greater advantageous than to be rude, or crude, in public, particularly. So we concepts our P's and Q's, un- like others who come to pass to now and then. no person asks or says something to rile yet another in this area. We admire one yet another. If everyone does not and shows it, they get stated for offending or breaking between the YA regulations. it is so undemanding as that. As to what our 'drugs' could be, it is the trip season, and toddler it relatively is chilly outdoors. So it relatively is warm buttered rum, or egg nog with slightly kick to it to get warmed up interior. keep the Baileys for brand new Years Eve rather.

Thumbs down if the ans. was very rude & crude.
Report if Q or A was a slam on a person-harsh name calling etc.
A few folks on this site are Gay & to be called a slam word is report material as are other name calling words about other folks & their lives.
We try to be accepting of all who venture onto seniors but our patience wear thin with the name calling etc.
The exception to that is the story lines, where everyone gets slammed but it is all in fun & among friends.
Is this clear as mud now?

You'll know...when a question or answer makes you cringe, then you take steps. Not when it's just something you don't happen to agree with, but when you see outright hatred and intolerance of others...or something that is sexually offensive. Another way of dealing with these sort of people is to just not acknowledge their questions at all. Just let them sit there with no response. The silence can be deafening, and they hate that.

I rarely give thumbs down. The only thing that would upset e is intolerance of other peoples race, religion, sexuality or any other derogatory statement that is insulting to others

Some one who spews forth venom and hate would certainly get reported!!
I hate ranting and venting by answerers against a Qs. If they don't like it then don't answer it. I give them a TD if I can be bothered to lift my finger that far!!!
