The domain of f(x) is assumed to be all real numbers except when the denominator is equal to 0. Factoring the denominator, we get 6(x^2+1-20) = 6(x+5)(x-4). This is equal to 0 when x = -5 or when x = 4.

So, the domain is all real numbers except -5 and 4. In interval notation, this is (-infinity, -5), (-5,4) (4, infinity)

Please learn to use parentheses. I assume you mean

f(x) = 9 / (6x² + 6x - 120)

The domain is all real numbers except for where the function is undefined. That would be when the denominator equals zero. Factor and simplify f(x).

f(x) = 9 / (6x² + 6x - 120) = 9 / [6(x² + x - 20)]

f(x) = 3 / [2(x + 5)(x - 4)]

So the domain is all real numbers except -5 and 4. In your notation that would be:

Domain = (-∞, -5) U (-5, 4) U (4, ∞)
