I need a costume idea that uses only stuff that uses only common household items. Don't say a mummy, already tried that lol. REMEMBER only common household items, thanks!

Last year I was the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. I stuffed some white pants and white shirt and made some sleeves from garbage bags and stuffed them too. Then I wore one of those golf hats (blue) and taped a frisbee wrapped in a white trashbag to the top of it. Finally for the rest, I used construction paper and twist-ties as string to hold it together. I looked just like him!

Sounds complicated, but I came up with the idea and created it in about 20 minutes.

I won the costume contest too!

Another was when some friends and I went as the Three Blind Mice! We got hats and taped paper plates to them for ears. (We didn't need tails because they were cut off). For whiskers we put strips of electrical tape on our faces. We put on trench coats, sunglasses, and sported some canes. We won that contest too!

Hey there! Having a rough time picking out a costume huh?

I was in the same spot you were, then I came across a GOLDMINE of ideas.

There's a website I found on Google that has a lot of very original and CREATIVE costume ideas for all of us!

I was so excited when I found it because it gave me a ton of ideas and I totally can't wait for Halloween so I can impress my friends.

The website I found right from Google is called "Costume Tribute". The website is:

www. CostumeTribute .com

I also went to YouTube and saw that this Costume Tribute video is ALL OVER the place!

If you want to see the video of the ideas straight on YouTube, here's the link to the video...

We always make our costumes out of stuff around the house.
Be a robot.
All you need is silver spray paint and aluminum foil.
Take an old pair of jeans and a t-shirt:
Stuff them with plastic grocery bags,
spray them with silver spray paint.
Let dry.
Using Elmer's Glue or Aleenes tacky glue
add however much foil you want.
Borrow your sister's or your mom's silver
eyeshadow, put this all over your face
and neck.
If you want your hands to be silver,
use an old pair of work gloves,
spray them silver.
We even sprayed a pair of socks
silver so my daughter
could put them over her boots.
After everything is completely dry,
then you can put on the clothes,
they will be stiff,
but you are supposed to be a robot.
We added an old collander for
her headpiece & we hot glued
some nuts & bolts to the collander.
