If you're with a truly caring partner, it shouldn't hurt at all. And I'm not a guy, but no, I don't believe it's the same unless your cradle is the size of a pencil eraser!

How old are you?
It shouldn't "hurt" to have sex at all, even the first time.
What may hurt, is the stretching or tearing of the hymen of the girl.
As far as "hurting" boys.... not if they do it right.
Zippers rubbing on it's sides will hurt, try removing trousers.
Rubbing against a woman's clothing might chafe a little...try removing her clothing.
Sex shouldn't hurt.
If it does, then perhaps the wrong entrance has been violated.
Oh, and try capitalizing "I" and using "knew" when you're supposed to.
Perhaps a little more English grammar experience is needed BEFORE painful sex.
