The Grateful Dead. There is nothing better than seeing a 'Dead' concert live.

Have been to several Rock n' Roll concerts over the years but by far my favorite live concert was to see Itzhak Perlman(world renowned violinist) perform in a small auditorium. Only about 300-500 seats. A couple in our area loved the Arts, had seen the world and many famous people. They paid to bring him to the small college town. All tickets were free. All we had to do was make a reservation. By the time I found out (in the newspaper), the tickets were all gone and I was so disappointed. They said the only hope of getting a free ticket was to be there 15 minutes early, in case someone turned in a ticket because of a previous engagement. Our daughter drove all the way to the town, unbeknownst to my husband and myself and waited just in case. My husband and I were both working at separate places, had to get off and get there within 45 minutes. We arrived just as the Ushers closed the doors. It was the concert of a lifetime. I thought I could die and go to heaven right then. I like all kinds of music, but Classical is my favorite. It was our anniversary too, so what an evening.
