Revenge is a bad idea. You might feel good about it at first, but it is not rewarding in the end. It's a tough reality to accept, but take it from someone who's made that mistake before. The world has a way of sorting those things out without our help. Most of the time people aren't what their peers scornfully accuse them of being. If your friends, family, and most importantly, YOU know that you are not guilty of anything, then that should be enough. Any person with a good heart will give you the time of day, and those are the people you want to associate yourself with anyway.

If people are, as you say "constantly talking bout you" I suspect that it is not always the same group of people, or that this has happened before. What is the common denominator here? I do not think that others see your " in a friendly manner" in the same way that you do. I agree with one of the responders who said " quit talking to other peoples boyfriends". That alone will cut the gossip and name-calling down. The again, I support the other responder who says " who cares, as long as you know who you are"? And why do these people matter anyway? Be yourself, check your behavior. If you are still certain that you are not contributing to the conflict, forget about it. Be you . Stay strong.
Jealousy is an ugly thing. The others are behaving in an ugly way. Shame on them.

Revenge the best revenge is to live better.
I know what you are going through is very hard but it won't last forever and live better.
STudy harder and get better grades, score higher on the SAT's and go to a better college, get a better job and better husband and live an honest, healthy life and enjoy it. Don't take things so seriously.
And if you want to say something try this "YOu know it is really pathetic that you are all so taken by my life that you feel the need to make things up. What miserable lives you must have. I really feel sorry for you." Then give a half of a smile and walk way.
The main reason people get talked about like that is because the other people knows it bothers them.
Good luck.

Maybe what you think is a friendly manner other people see as flirting.
Usually if everyone's talking bad about you, there's a reason. You should ask your friends if honestly there's some behaviors that you have that tick people off.
Or maybe they keep saying these things about you because they know you wont say anything back. I'm not saying you should like break their nose, but you shouldn't let people stomp all over you and then wonder why they're doing it. Let them know you have a backbone and dont mess with you.

Don't go with revenge - never let them see you sweat! People will always talk about you - if you're doing really well and are very prosperous and successful in life, they will still find bad things to say. What I would suggest is that you get around a NEW circle of friends. Ones that really love you. You seem like a really sweet person, so don't stoop to someone else's level. Be above them, because you ARE better than that. You don't deserve to have someone smile in your face and the very minute you turn your back, someone has a knife in it. Let it go dear. There are so many more POSITIVE things in life that you can be doing. They are petty.
Best wishes!

I wouldn't care what other people say..sometimes they're just ignorant or jealous and need to get a life.
People will always talk about people and most of the time those people have their own dirty laundry to wash!!
Revenge isn't worth it because that's all they want so they can talk some more about you. Ignore them..sooner or later they'll stop.

You are definitely way too paranoid. I used to be like you wondering what people are saying about me or what they were going to say if I did things a certain way. But one thing I've definitely learnt in my 39 years of life experience is that you cannot worry about what anyone says about you or the way you do things. Just do what you think is right and what you are comfortable with and stuff anyone who doesn't like it. Otherwise you will end up going insane trying to please everyone.

I didn't really understand what you said, but I know how much people gossip and how hurtful rumors can be, and I'm sorry you 've had to experience that. But you've done nothing wrong, so there's nothing you need to do...just hold your head high and go on about your normal routine letting your character speak for itself. This will pass. Good luck to you.

I think you should stop hanging around these people. If they follow you around and start calling you names again I suggest you loudly say "Stop!" If they say things like "What are you chicken?" Or something like that you just walk away. If they do it again you should tell them "I already told you to stop now I am going to go tell..." Tell someone who has more power over them, and who will make them stop once and for all. If this doesn't work you need to tell someone right away and even if they say you ratted them out or something you stood up for your slef and it least they will stop!

Your revenge is living well. Those who tell stories about you, tell them about others as well. Those who spread the stories spread stories about others as well. Their turn will come and you will be clean. Do not stoop to their level or give them honest feed for their gossip.
