A good book with dark or gothic themes, fantasy, philosophy, and then some, combined?

Books I like: Coraline, by Neil Gaiman; A Clockwork Orange, by Anthony Burgess; Lord of the Flies, by William Golding. Also include an interesting use of language, like in A Clockwork Orange. Any suggestions?
