Some friends and I bought one and thought that it was going to be a bunch of crap, or some kind of parlor tricks or something. We tried it in my house first (which was new when I bought it) and we got nothing. We agreed that we would in no way try to alter the outcome to "scare" each other. We then decided that maybe we needed to get to a place that spirits may be dwelling. A couple we knew had bought an old farmhouse that was built sometime in the late 1800s or early 1900s so we decided to give it a try there. At first it moved a little and started giving us yes and no answers. So we asked it what its name was and it told us (cant remember what it was, kind of too exited) but we started talking to it and asking it questions like how it died and what year and such. We then asked it if it knew anything about us personally. It said yes. At this point, any rational person would still say that its probably bullshit and someone is moving it, but we pressed on. So we decided that we each would go around and ask it a question that only we knew the answer to so that each of us would be convinced that no one was moving it. To our astonishment, it got all the answers right (according to everyone, I can vouch that it got mine right). One of the guys acutally started to cry!! He said that his grandmother who had died when he was very young used to call him a strange nickname and he asked the board....and it got it right!!! He was completely freaked out and said that he didnt want to mess with it anymore. I am convinced that in the right place and situation, those things work. I have to say, it made me a little uneasy as well, and I havent messed with it much since.

My personal experience was this.
My Sister and I were playing it one time and she asked the name of who we we "speaking" to and it told us Lucifer. Well she got scared and decided to put it up and give it to one of her friends. A Couple of days later I started having Night Terrors that I was awake and something was sitting on top of me and I could not move. It would whisper this crazy stuff in my ears like how my soul belonged to it and no one could help me. I was so scared. Anyway come to find out she had stashed the thing under my bed. I found it while I was cleaning and I told my older brother about what had happened and he took the thing and burned it. It help some but I still have those dreams a couple times a year. There not a s intense. I believe that now it's just nightmare about what had happened not the real thing. Some say they're gateways and you can let things through and I really believe that. I will NEVER have one in my home again.

I played with one when I was a kid and we always asked those dumb questions like "does he like me?" We all knew we were moving the thingy, whatever you call it. It was a big joke. In High School (a Christian school), we we're told how evil those boards are and that they actually scream if you put them in the fire. Of course, IT DID! The old ones are made of pressed wood, which is nice and full of air pockets to make it "scream". As an adult, although i hated the things, I decided to "play with" the game again. I found out that it was no joke. Several other people tried it and they all ended up laughing. I don't think they were concentrating. My daughter and I played next. I had just lost my dad and I seriously wanted to see if I could communicate with him. We asked if there were spirits in the room and the thingy went to YES. We asked who it was and it said "Goodbye" We knew that neither one of us was moving it and we barely had our fingers on it. It started answering questions that didn't really make sense. But on the last question we asked, and of course I can't remember the actual question, the thingy went to the side of the board really fast and started to FLOAT in the AIR with our fingers on it and then went flying across the room!!! I swear this is true and i will NEVER touch that thing again!

Yes, they are serious business. Some friends and I decided to write a book about whatever we got out of the Ouija board. It would only move for me and if I had my eyes closed. So I sat there with my eyes closed, my one friend read, and the other wrote. There are lots of stories to tell but basically it seemed as tho' we mainly "talked" with one entity. It told us that the board was dangerous because the dwellers on the threshold could come through the board. We asked who was that and the board answered they were the spirits that could not get into hell. We had a lot of weird things start to happen and one of them happen to my friend as it happened to the first one who answered. Marge woke up one night with a pressure on her. She couldn't move and she was terrified. She had two children in other rooms and was beside herself. It didn't talk to her and finally she could get up. She ran and checked her children and they were OK. Much later listening to Coast to Coast radio late one night, the guest was talking about the Old Hag who is supposed to hold you down. Gave me chills again. I felt that "things" came through the board and stayed with me. One night before it got bad, the board had told Marge to quit smoking. She lit up and the board said, "I told you to quit! and the dealie ran off the board and shoved the ashtray off the table." Then it went to goodbye and it wouldn't work the rest of the night. Most notably we talked to a sailer that supposedly sailed with Christopher Columbus. My father had passed and I had moved into his mobile home for $ reasons. This entity was delighted with the fact that a house could have wheels. I was wondering how he spoke modern English so well. I stopped working the board when one night I could see the letters glowing even tho' my eyes were closed. That was it for me. When the mobile home burnt, everything was damaged in that closet but the board in it's white cardboard box. . .and the crock pot in the kitchen that my mother-in-law gave me. When they towed off the wreckage some guy saw them and I told him, please just take them. . .

Ouija boards scare me. They open a door that is very difficult to close.
Once my sister and a few of her friends were playing with one, they connected with a dead uncle. It also told them that they didn't like a girl because she dropped the board, and they didn't like my sister's glasses.
I stay away from the boards.
