My bf broke up with me after 4 years b/c he was suddenly unhappy and I took the break up badly. I also asked him back but he told me to not have hope, he wants to be single, and told me to find another man.
I haven't contacted him since and I just want to know if he might one day call back. Has anyone experienced something similar whose ex said the exact same thing but ended up coming back? Thanks

My ex and I broke up 3 years ago. I've seen him on this same yahoo answers all the time. Sometime he talks about the good times we had when people ask question. It brings tears to my eyes but I just have to let go. I don't email him 'cause I know we broke for a good reason. I'd rather have those good memories than try to get back.
Move on. If it meant to be, it will be. He already made it clear that there is no chance to get back with you. He even suggested that you should find someone else. Time for you to find someone else and move on with your life. Good luck.

sweetie i know it hurts and you never loved like this before and he was your whole life and you cant live without him, BUT you can. respect that man decision and leave him alone. move on. do whatever it is that you need to to get over him. but let it go. dont call him anymore, dont email him, dont accept his calls or any contact from him. move on. he has told you what he wants and now you have to respect that. you will love again and you will find another bf who will love until the day his dies. he is out there waiting on you. so you need to have your stuff together when he comes. Sweetheart I am in the same situation as you right now! I am struggling some days but it gets better day by day because we didn't break up for the same reasons as you but coping is what they want us to do and they also want us to live on without them! I suggest you do as they wish for us and go on with your life and focus on you, because they are not thinking about us not one day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess you can say after 1year this month, it's been hard after dating for three years, I never thought of being without him, I felt like we completed each other but I found out I wasn't enough..... So again I'm coping, suggest you do the same.................

sometimes people change and feelings change.
maybe stop waiting for him and take care of YOU... get out, do things with family and friends... find yourself a hobby or take a class to use up some of your spare time.
i don't think he's coming back. i'm sorry, i know you're hurting. hugs

oh yes!!! my ex dumped me like 5 years ago.and since last year, he started to court me again, we had a relationship again last 2 months and i dumped him after a week. time for revenge. ;-)

yes it happened the same with my ex.
we are now friends, he has tried to get back but i no longer think i can trust him.
You have to not see him for a while.
